Thanksgiving Book For Parents

What You Need:
2 pieces of black construction paper
2 sheets of brightly colored construction paper
5 Photos (or drawings/art) of the child
Elmer's glue
1 Foot of ribbon
Hole puncher
Marker
Printer (for poems)

How To:
1. Holding the black contruction paper together fold construction paper in half, landscape style. (making a book)

2. Place a hole in the top left corner. (You'll be putting the ribbon through this spot to hold the book together.

3. Create your book!

Front Cover: Decorate front color with a piece of the bold construction paper, add a title. "I am Thanksful For You! - or wahtever title you'd like. Place a picture of the child under the title


Page 2: Add the following poem on the left side:



Thanksgiving day will soon be here.
It comes around but once a year,
If I could only have my way,
We'd have Thanksgiving every day!




Page 3: Use a bold background and add a picture.


Page 4: Add the following poem on the left side:

May your stuffing be tasty.
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes and gravy have nearly a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
and your pies take the prize.
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your theighs!!


Page 5: Use a bold background and add a picture.

Page 6: Add the following poem on the left side:



The turkey is a funny bird.
Its head goes bobble-bobble.
And all he knows is just one word . . .
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!




Page 7: Use a bold background and add a picture.

Page 8: Back Cover: Use a bold background and add a picture on the top half. On the bottom half us the following poem.
